Toyota goes GRRRRRRRRR

While being a petrolhead and really enjoying to drive cars fast, I have to admit that I'm not a regular follower of new car releases. 

I've heard about the Toyota Yaris GR before, but I would have never expected something like I saw recently on in this video:

An under 8 BTG from a hot hatch right out of the box - 7:56min to be exact. The car is fitted with Michelin P4S' Tyres, so not even the ultra sticky verion. When I started driving the Nordschleife back in 2010 in my MINI, that was a time only to be achieved by Tuners who committed a hell of a lot of time to optimising their hot hatch cars to achieve a time like this.

What a great piece of kit! Around 260hp, an adjustable AWD-System (something you don't see often in such a small car) sending up to 70% of the power to the rear wheels - starting at less than €35,000.

I love to see that there are still car manufactureres who are putting out affordable cars which seem to be ready for some track action right out of the factory. It definitely makes my fingers itch a bit!
